I thought this whole idea had been called off last year, but today I saw a german-registered Hyundai Genesis Coupe testing on the 'ring - back to back with a 370Z.

For those who aren't aware, the Genesis Coupe is a cheap-as-chips RWD sportscar in the states - not like the FWDs we get over here. There was a story last year they'd bring the 2.0 turbo version over here for €17k less than the 370Z...

It looks okay, quite like it from the rear. But the front looks like it's been in a crash frown

Why wasn't it brought over here?

To ignore the entire European market seems a bit odd.

I suppose the UK market is slightly out on a limb being RHD but even so they manage other cars and presumably Japan etc.

Hi Dale wavey

This could be a very interesting car when/if it arrives in Europe, which it looks like it is going to. Did'nt sound like a V8 by any chance did it?

It seams the Genesis will be sold over here along with a smaller front drive coupe (Scirroco rival)!

The V8 is now available here in the gulf for about 17k. It might not be perfect but it is stunning value for a good looking 300bhp RWD coupe.

Saw Jack Bauer hooning one of these around New York in a recent episode of 24.

it looked great, and sounded like a V8 to me.

This was definitely a 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder. V8 sounds interesting though!!

Why oh why do the uk importers of Korean and Japanese cars seem to think we don`t want anything bigger than a bloody 2ltr. in a small coupe/sports car. One of these with a 300bhp V8 would be fantastic value even with our over the top taxes.
