How can they possibly be allowed to advertise this as a lifetime warranty?

If it's limited to 100k miles it's not lifetime! The fact that it's not transferrable is a joke too.

None, or very few, lifetime guarantees actually mean lifetime, the same as unlimited broadband very rarely means unlimited.

And to the op.. How can you possibly say with a straight face that you'd never buy a Vauxhall after spending money on a Fiat Punto? hehe

ETA. The original link says warranty but some adverts are saying guarantee. There is a difference & can imagine that it is warranty so changed my link.

Its a matter of taste, if money was not an object it would have been something tastier... but in any case definately not a vauxhall...

Why the hatred for Vauxhalls?

I personally dont have a hatred for Vauxhalls but as a rule of thumb they are rather boring things. Other than the VXR8 and VX220/turbo none have been able to move me let alone make me want to own one for "life".

Many ppl confuse not liking something with hating it... I never said I hate Vaxhauls... they just don't inspire me enough.

Think of it as a strawberry cake... some people like it others prefer chocolate cake! There is no right or wrong answer!

PS. I hope I did not upset the Vauxhall community smile

Not upset at all. smile My Vauxhall is 10 years old & a diesel, I bought it when it was 3 years old with 17000 on the clock & it's now done over 300,000. It's been a bloody good van, although it is a bit like Triggers broom.

I really don't think there's much difference between the main two rep & family manufactures who I always think of as Vauxhall & Ford. Some people say they'd never buy a Vauxhall & some say the same about Ford.

Personally if I was buying a new car for myself I wouldn't buy either, so I understand what you're saying. smile

I'm not referring to the badge engineered holdens

I was more looking at the small dull take me to work and back car and to be frank the smallest car in their range the Corsa is quite frankly fking huge which probably needs a V8 to make it move.
