Hostages Taken At BMW's French HQ
Armed gunman takes two hostages
It's been reported that a gunman has taken several hostages at BMW's French HQ west of Paris.
According to reports from workers in neighbouring offices, armed police arrived at the Montigny-Le-Bretonneux offices of BMW France just after 2pm CET on Monday 8 Nov.
According to Europe1 radio, the hostage-taker is a former employee who wished to speak with the director. He has, says Europe1 taken a telephonist and a salesman hostage, and several shots have been fired into the air.
We'll update you with more information as we hear it.
UPDATE: AFP and BBC have said that the gunman has surrendered to police. It's still not clear what his motive was.
