Subarus are changing too much. That doesn't look anything like an impreza and its a convertible. Its too low too rally and it probably isn't 4wd. They've even changed the badge. I bet it will have a small block chevy v8 instead of a flat four. Probably will still be a peformance bargain when there 15 years old though.

Very ordinary.

No Prodrive P2?

No Murtaya?

That looks like a very high bonnet line considering we keep being told how a big advantage of the flat engines is how low they are.

I'm sure it'll be a good car, I just can't get very excited by these pictures.

Least it doesn't look like a hatchback/estate mutation like the last shape.

Would be better being a new Legacy, looks to big for an Impreza, then again the last model is one ugly mother.

That'll be to allow for pedestrian safety legislation. The engine will be nice and low, meaning a low centre of gravity, but the bonnet doesn't have to be.

It looks OK but does appear a little 'typical' in design.

The love-child between a Vauxhall Insignia and a Mazda 6. smile
It looks like it'll be far too heavy for even the 4-pot Boxer engine.

I've never really understood manufacturers and their concept cars, I know some look like the product of a designer and a Jamacain Woodbine, but that second Impreza is drop dead gorgeous, why would you not make that, and instead plump for the hatch they came out with. Pugeout came out with two little sports cars running small deisel engines not too long ago, they where spot on, Citreon have just done the same with their concepts. It wouldn't bother me if they fitted bogo engines to them, their shape would be far more appealling to own than the standard fare.
