Speculative story.our speed limits in the name of saving fuel WTF etc.
The Spaniards don't bother much about speed limits.
Them doing it, and a bit of talk here that we could do
the same if we needed to, doesn't mean it will happen.
As the AA and the ABD make clear, the cost of the time
wasted would far far exceed any fuel saving.

Indeed but it sounds like just the kind of lunacy that brake et al wouldThe Spaniards don't bother much about speed limits.

jump on and since when did common sense and logic matter in policy making
by our glorious leaders!

I'll pay about as much attention to a reduced motorway limit as I do the current one.
It better be speculation as I'll be getting a lot of speeding tickets! I drive from Yorkshire to London and back weekly and do a 30 mile commute on the motorway - there is no way I'll let these journeys take any longer than they already do...And then on the other hand.....
This says they're likely to go to 80 mph on the motrorways

If we are changing rules to save fuel how about no speed bumps, i'm sure the amount of extra fuel used by accelerating after these pointless things would be rather significant if we account for every car after every speedbump.
It's ok though as we are told to keep a constant speed and limit acceleration as much as possible by predicting traffic ( i'm not physcic) ect. This would be a lot easier if we didn't have massive bumps in the middle of the road that we needed to slow down for shirley?

You're better concentrating on increased pollution with these things - people hate to think their immediate environment is being polluted. A secondary point is damage to suspension and tyres which could lead accidents.Gassing Station | Motoring News | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
