Future of LPG - anything in the next budget.
Discussion
Just about to spend on fixing my LPG system (£600) but I know there's a budget soon and I haven't heard what it may contain w.r.t LPG.
Does anyone know what the plans are for LPG tax/pricing.
I don't want to have mine fixed only to find LPG becomes a similar price to Petrol.
Any info gratefully received.
Thanks in advance,
Shentodj

I wonder if you could use CNG? In some countries rich in natural gas, most cars are CNG, but the systems look similar to LPG. The only difference is that the pressurised gas doesn't turn to liquid. It would be great to just get a CNG compressor and fill your car from your house gas.
In some countries, such as the USA. some people do this with modified refrigerators.

You can get cars converted to run CNG here. Very very few CNG stations. You could always get a compressor for your home gas supply, but it will need to run overnight to get you enough for a pitiful range - similar to that of an electric car. Obviously, you can run it on petrol after. In some countries, such as the USA. some people do this with modified refrigerators.
So CNG has it's limitations - but if you can live with them ...
