One more for the road: Audi Q3 unveiled
Discussion
Found this on Brazilian website Webmotors, although a quick Google search, and I found the same on quite a few english written ones too.
Article reads:
Audi has revealed first images of the Q3, their crossover to rival the BMW X1. With similar size to the VW Tiguan, the model will be officially launched at the Shanghai motorshow, as a 4x2, or equipped with quattro system as an option. There are three engines to choose from, al of them 2.0 litre direct injection options, either turbo or supercharged.
The design follows the same pattern as seen in the new Audi models, including the new A6 and A3 Sedan Concept. The Q3 had a new headlamp design, different to the standard Audi LED daytime running lights. The crossover sports a line of plastic illuminated indirectly, similar to the rear lights of the Citroën Grand C4 Picasso and Fiat Idea. The rear end conforms to Audi's current design theme, and increased the difficulty of differentiating the Q3, Q5 and Q7 when viewed from behind.
The diesel-powered version generates 142 bhp, while the petrol variants offer 172 bhp or 214 bhp, coupled to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, already found in other models, like the Audi A1. Europe sales are scheduled to start in the second half of 2012.
