Behind the Light Switch

A bit of advice guys....

I have a dodgy connection on the back of the light switch and need to get to it to fix it. My question, is it worth taking the top cowling off the dash for access or does the angle of the switch panel mean it won't give access and I'll have to use the Aussie approach? (Lying upside down in the footwell?).

Thought I'd ask before diving in!

Easy enough if you just get upside down If its just the ribbon then you can just push it home? The switch is easy enough to remove just has two small nuts to undo and a bracket that holds it all in place. No need to remove the top of the dash.

Better go and turn upside down, again then!
