should I change my tuscan for a cerbera?
Discussion
My tuscan is in gorners at the moment for some TLC, and they have kindly loaned me my old pink chimeara back (hence pinkchim!) now I want a V8 again, so the question is would i enjoy a 4.5V8 cerbera better than my current tuscan, gorners have a lovely one in at the moment that I am tempted by.........
Dont get me wrong the tuscan is great but it doesnt make me smile like the roar of the V8 does.
All comments gratefully recieved
cheers

Pinkchim.
I'm not trying to put you off but a couple of things to consider.
The Cerb does not have the same Rover V8 as the Chim. As such they sound nothing alike. The cerb sounds like a very deep chested steriod enhanced four cylinder by virtue of its flat plane crank design. If you get the opportinuty take one for a spin to listen to it. Other factors to consider are the extra space (almost practical rear seats in a cerb) and most obvious the all in one roof. Some see this as the biggest downside when switching.
Try one and see if you like it, but you will be tempted to the dark side of TVR ownership.
Ha ha ha ha!!!

The sound of my sports 'zorsted Cerb was much better than the Tuscan when I first got it. With a set of CCC cans on, the Tuscan is much closer... it's louder than the Cerb was, but a little harsher sounding.
I get a better response from the public in the Tuscan, though - I got a lot of negative comments, etc. in the Cerb. And the Tuscan (RR spec) is noticeably faster than my 4.2 Cerb.
The Cerb did have more class, mind.

Like what? only ever had +ve in mine!
Had it pelted with eggs outside the house. Had it spat on in town. Had a group of drunk girls lobbing stones & leftover takeaway at it/punching it/blocking me from driving down the road. Innumerable "flash b
tard", etc. comments.
Have a listen to this www.byff.btinternet.co.uk/byff_files/tunnelclip.mpg makes me grin every time I watch it .
Its also just one of the factors that made me decide to buy a cerbera V8

Interesting I've only ever had very positive comments about my Cerb, and it feels quicker than the tuscans I have driven, although I have never driven a RR.
Mind you your Cerb was blue, so I suppose thats why you got grief
(and it was slow)
