What woud you do with the 8k

Just looking at the classifieds as you do, I noticed the 2003 4.5 Red Rose Cerbera for sale for 24K, now currently having a 2003 Speed Six Cerbera without an engine rebuild, and according to Raceproved, has all the later engine components,if you were looking for a power upgrade would you go for the the TVR Power 4.5 rebuild/upgrade if the engine went BANG, or go for the 4.5 Cerbera for sale now?

If you like the Speed Six engine then go for a rebuild, if/when you need one eg 4ltr, 4ltr S, 4.3 or 4.5. Will be a stonking car whatever you choose.

If you want a late 4.5 AJP then sell your car and buy one...?

There is a lot of debate re the power of the increased cc S6's - I for one think a lot of the advertised numbers are optimistic (but arguably TVR bhp has always been that way!). BUT there seems little doubt that these S6's are a much improved drive etc but they are an expensive option.

Personally I would stick with your S6 and if you break it then see what you want to do, you could even go for an LSn engine! But if you want an AJP then sell yours and go and buy one.

Save your money and see what happens if she blows you will wish you sold her,but it may run for many many years who knows.Ive been down the big engine big bhp route and to be honest yes it was fast,but i have bought a 4.5 cerb with lower power and i enjoy driving this much more.Always remember the big bhp is only the start soon to follow are big brakes,better suspension,etc etc.
