miss fire after washing car!!

I am having a problem each time i wash the car,after it miss fires Is this common? Does water get around the leads and dizzy

I have not had it but are you power washing? more than likely be the coil packs getting wet i would guess.

This has happened to mine in the past.

It's damp coil packs.

Blow them with an air line to dry them off and you'll be sorted.

Oh no i would never pressure wash it! I'm very careful indeed! Coil pack ah that would make sense, cheers guys. Maybe i will cover around under the scuttle in future to prevent this.

Speed 6 or AJP? Tuscans are prone to this, water can sneak in irder the spark plug cover if its not properly sealed

i've had no problems pressure washing mine, although my pressure washer isn't very powerful and always used at an angle and never directed at any seals, etc

It's a 4.2, sure pressure washing with care is fine i just use an old fashioned hose!

The water can make it's way down as far as the coil packs without using a power washer.

If you accidentally turn the hose into the slots where the bonnet sits you could get a splash of water on the coil packs.

Mine does this if I use a hose as there is so much water running over the coil packs, a few mins with the wifes hair drier sorts it out.
