Nitron rose joints

Any one changed any nitron rose joints them selves? Just the C clips don’t have any holes to get my tool in to…

With everything striped down & cleaned up I noticed some of the balls in the rose jointed ends were a little looser than others, not that there is any play in them, just not any real resistance to being turned like when they were new (that some still have). I’m not sure they do really need changing, would possibly be ok with a re-lube & some new O rings. The ones that are looser had split O rings.

I know I can just send them back to nitron to have them done, but then if they are going back they may as well have a service & all of a sudden you’re looking at a £350 bill for some shocks that were perfectly good in the first place!

I had to change one of mine as it developed some play very early on. It was probably a duff one as the replacement and all others have been fine.

I eased the clips out with a couple of small screwdrivers.
