warning wrong size O rings.

Just thought I would let anyone know about a problem I had with rebuilding my 4.5ajp. TVR power supplied me with an engine O ring set, the ones they supplied for the block to water pump assembley are the wrong size (which to their credit they admitted). Assembled the engine with extreme care only yo find it leaked water from the water pump joints which as you can imagine is a real pain in the arse as I have had to disassemble the engine again.
The O rings should be 3.5mm thick not 2.5mm as supplied by Power.
Be very careful if you are doing your own rebuild. The correct size O rings are available from Screwfix in their metric O ring kit.£12.99.

I had loads of problems with O rings when I built mine and ended up using what I could find rather than what the specialists provided in many cases. Typically, the ones provided were too thin as you describe.

How hard can it be for suppliers to get the right ones?!

Can you put this info on the 'Torque settings' sticky, although it's not a 'Torque' setting, it is useful and relevant.
