My first taste of the fabled electrical problems

To all the very kind and knowledgeable persons out there can you advise me, fairly novice cerb owner who has just had 10 months of totally trouble free and great fun wend motoring until yesterday. I had only left my car om the drive for 5 mins after a half hour drive, jumped in to put it away, pressed the ignition button and nothing? everything else electrical worked but no ignition. The only thing that was slightly different than normal was my 2yr old son had been pretending to drive it as he loves to do and had accidently left the side lights on.
after a few attemps of checking immobiliser was off i pushed it back into the garage and put it back on my battery conditioner thing and decoded to try again in the morning knowing it would have a topped up batt.
Again nothing, i am pretty hopeless at auto electrics but i am guessing possibly a fuse? where should i start looking? I have read about the 100 amp being an issue but understand that is not so easy to get to, so want to rule out any other possibilities first. are all others in boot? and if so which one/ones might relate directly to starting? could my immobiliser also stop me, however the read flashing light is working in cockpit and goes out as it should when de-activated.Could my son have done something i am missing? i have tried asking him but as he only speaks about 5 words one being marmite and two being mama+dada i fear he will not be of much help.
Anyway enough waffle any handy tips would be much appreciated.

Doesn't sound like big fuse, if you have charged the battery it should run until battery gets flattened again, big fuse stop the alternator charge getting through.

Has he turned the silver key? That gets my vote, easily done

Very good thought, i hadn't checked but he loves keys so I wouldn't be suprised, I will check first thing in the morning, sounds like you might have experience of little monsters?

Silver key every time. Some of them just need to be moved just slightly, although mines quite positive

you were all spot on THANKYOU, silver key it was, I have never touched it myself to scared the whole car might melt down, my theroy on TVR electrics is if you can aviod touching it or using it then there is a slim chance it might work again.
I was able to swing down to goodwood this morning to the breakfast club meet instead of trying to replace the 100 amp fuse unnecessarily so you have all saved me much grief.
As far as the culprit goes I made him travel down in the boot....(joke)

According to Wikipedia:

The genus [Cerbera] is named after Cerberus because all its parts are poisonous : they contain cerberin, a cardiac glycoside, a substance that blocks electric impulses in the body (including the beating of the heart).

So basically TVR were taking the pi55, they knew it would have electrical problems all along.
