Adaptives and Throttle Pot Help

Hi all, Slight problem with setting the adaptives. With one throttle pot set at 19.4% and the other at 14.4% the adaptives are spot on, when there both at 19.4 one is spot on but the other is around -20. I've swapped the throttle pots over and no change, also the lambdas are reading ok.
Ps. the car is a 1998 4.5.

Try getting the throttle pots %ages to ~18% each and check that they stay close to each other in value at low throttle openings.

Both mine set at 14.8 and all is well.

Just encountered exactly the same last night trying to set my throttle pots etc up... had a close look at the pot settings as one of mine was at 15% the other at 22%.... closer inspection I found the throttle linkage had a fair bit of play in the knuckle joints...... X2 on order for the weekend.

I can get the throttle pots to read very closely all the way through the rev range when there both set at the same percentages. It's just the adaptives are out when i set the throttle pots to the same reading. I'm going to see if the banks are balanced with an air flow meter and go from there....?

You should get the air flow the as close as you can between the banks (hot engine) before you set the pots. If the pots stay in sync you don't have any play in the linkage which is a bonus.
