Window dropping and not fully closing and other issues

I've just got myself a Cerb, Carbon Al's old car and I'm starting to work through the list of problems, I have fitted a new clutch, today sorted out the boot alignment, put some new heat shielding around the fuel pipes, rewired the radio and removed a shed load of excess wires for old GPS systems.
One thing is really annoying so far, if I open the door it drops the window each time I press the button, even if the window is down it still tries to drop the window. Its happening both sides, I'm guessing there must be a micro switch to tell it the window is dropped and that isn't doing its job? Its annoying because if I close the door it just raises the window a little and won't close all the way.
I Have found the suspension to be very crashy, I have adjusted up the shock settings but still on sharper bumps its almost as if its hitting bump stops, the car has a reasonable ride height though, maybe shocks need a rebuild as failing to control the faster drops, will play more later.
The clutch has been fitted, but there were no locating dowls in the bell housing or engine block, anyone know here I can get some as the bell housing is slightly out as you can hear a light bearing noise when just resting your foot on the clutch? I've had the same problem on my Tuscan when it had a badly machined bell housing and recognise the noise. Also need to adjust the master cylinder push rod, the car had destroyed 3 clutches by breaking diaphragms, I'm just being careful now not to push the clutch too far in but need to make sure its right.
Chassis needs a good rub down and paint, then get the AC working, soon it will be good as new
Hopefully tomorrow will finish putting the Tuscan engine in, these cars do like to keep you busy!

Well most of that list just needs time to remedy, not a huge outlay of cash when doing it all myself, the shocks had been run very soft and since adjusting them the ride has improved, not straight away though, almost like they took some time to stiffen up, thinking worst case its a few hundred for gaz to rebuild them.
The window drop problem is usually either the microswitch behind the glass, under the door card or more probably corroded connectors on the plugs into the wiring harness inside the door.
Replacing all the door harness connectors with proper waterproof ones permanently cured all my door/window opening woes.

That's a bit harsh, only a handful of cars ever end up in flames Paul, what shocks is the car running?
It's running a single way gaz shock, silver body do not a gaz gold.
Will take the door card off and see what I find.
