1000 hp Cerb!

Just found this and recognised it as the "thing! on top of a container at Austec. What's the story then? I guess it never got finished

Just do a search for the 'Phoenix". The creator Ash had some great and ambitious ideas, but it appears the concept went on long term hold. Maybe it is now permanently on hold as it very rarely get's mentioned nowadays.

It ended up the lowest HP cerb ever :-(
Ash has a 99% complete Cerb with a Mitsibushi engine in it with an amazing dash etc - so he might end up with the fastest cerb on the road , it just took 5 years longer than he hoped.

Ther was also a blue Cerb that had some widened wheel arches and a diffuser fitted to the rear, I remember the picture appearing on here a year or two ago by the owner I think he was doing the work on it himself. I would love to know how if it got completed.

Anyone know what happened to it?.

3 1/2 years on and I'm still building it. Don't get as much time as I would like after new job,new house and two kids but it will be finished. Body and chassis reunited finally and hopefully get the ls fired up in the next couple months. Thanks for asking.

g20v6, thanks for the update, glad to hear it is still progressing. I know how difficult finding time can be I have also moved house and renovated it, and have twin boys so there is not a lot of spare time. BUT this is where the Cerb comes in, getting out for a blast when you do get the time is FANTASTIC.
Looks like you have done a good job so far and the wheelarches extensions look good, post up some pics when you get it running/finished.

Hey Simon, glad to see everthing fitted fine, you'll love the T56 box.

Love the wheels and the arches look spot on.

Is the car in Dorset at yours, if so I'll pop down for a look, take you for a spin in mine, that'll give you a bit of inspiration
