They were the only thing I didn't like on the car before, they just looked too angular for the rest of the body and created too much wind noise.
I'm happy to shot down if anyone doesn't like them, all feed back gratefully received.
Oh, and have you guessed what they're off yet?

Mirrors are definitely from a car
I've got rid of the sidelight - hardly a ground breaking change, but I just didn't like the "bottle top" sidelights.
I also wanted to give myself the opportunity to site the number plate in a different position and have slimmed down the bar in the middle of the grill where it was previously fatter in the middle to give something to screw the plate on to. I wanted to try it in the current position but feared that I'd be forever knocking it off. Therefore, I have found a good use for a couple of hinges
It's just stuck on with double sided tape atm as I'm really not sure whether I like it...

Hmmn, side repeaters and wipers I have yet to fit, seems I'm not quite finished yet...I may leave the front badge off, not decided yet, may even fit the later oval badge.
The top section of the "mouth" is definitely still open though. Mine is a very early '96 car with the central "bar" in the mouth bonded in rather than being part of the main moulding as per on the later cars. It kicks up quite a lot at the back, presumably to push air up into the filter housing. Perhaps it's more visible now the car is in a lighter colour, but either way, it's the same as before.
