I'm after one of the A/C pipes that come out of the compressoer mounted at the front of the vee, mine has fractured and I can't get one via the usual Clevor Trevor/TVR Power etc
It's the high pressure pipe, about 6 inches long, the rear-most pipe on the compressor.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried Pirtek? They can make up just about any pipe you might be after, any wont charge a fraction of the usual places. Found them very handy in the past for a variety of pipes, albeit none for air con. If you bring your old pipe along, they can also remove the end fittings and make up a new one with them.

I'll give them a go, along with Think Automotive. I was expecting it to cost a fair bit so thought I'd try the used route first but thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to sent the old pipe off to have it replicated.

Hydrasun will also make them up, need to know what fittings sizes to ask for as it's a menu type system.

The welding route has been poo poo'd by the A/C guy, he says that seeing as its already cracked from fatigue, it will likely do the same again around the edge of the weld.

Since when was the AC guy a fabricator? Get it done properly and it will be a lot tougher than before. Got a picture?

Is it the plate supporting the ninety degree bend that's fractured? If so, they are well known for it. In fact I think there may have been a recall on them.

Either way, take it to a fabricator, you'd be amazed what a good guy can do with a TIG welder.

Mine fractured, and it was welded, and still leaked. It's a cast part and needs to be 100% Air tight.

Take it to Pirtek and they can fit a new hose, or re-use the old hose.

Yep, that's the one, thanks. I'll call racing green this morning as I called clever trevor yesterday and they made it sound as though they don't stock that. I thought racing green owned clever trevor now?
Anyway, if that fails I'll find my local pirtek, a friend also told me about a local hydraulics co that are open Saturday morning and he uses to make pipes for aeroplanes so hope they can make it up also.
Will let you know the outcome.
At least I know why my A/C was so bad, it has no gas. If only the weather required A/C at the moment!

Weird, if you look under the list for Cerbera, Heating, cooling & air con on the Clevor Trevor site, it's not listed.
Whoever I spoke to at Clever Trevor must have not been paying attention yesterday, It's not exactly a hard part to describe, they told me they didn't do it.

I just got off the phone to Racing Green, last one in stock, now on its way to me in the post, result.
