Well, I have had the honour of using the Cerb for a week or so now. Its a 97 4.2 de-cat with sports pipes. I have had loads of people telling me that the car sounds fantastic. I think it sounds like a F3000 car i worked on! Mybe something to do with the flat crank, same as the Cosworth DFV?

I am sure the car has more power, more responsive as well. When you are not mashing the right hand pedal its very quiet and great on the M way's. The down side is it use's more fuel!

Anyway to get to the point I have Video of the car from a standing start and on the over-run, just need to figure out how to get it on the net!

I can confirm that the de-cat makes the car so much more angry! I love it!

How about just channeling the exhaust out of side exhausts near the front straight from cats to short pipes... you'd get the sound and maybe more power?

Here is the MPEG. Had some issues getting it onto my PC. Called my PC geek mate who is hosting it for me, thanks for the offer GC but he just did it with out asking!

right click and 'save as' 3.08MB

no animals were harmed during the making of this movie. All speeds are well within the NSL and if it looks quicker its a camera trick. The volume of the exhaust is well within legal limits and any volume over this limit was acheived with mirrors.

That sounds the bizness.
I noticed how quickly the birds shut up

Think i may leave mine as it is for a while yet tho having witnessed the probs my mate cerbie450 has had since his was de-catted. Coincidence maybe but its given him a real headache.
