Cerbera questions
Discussion
Hi All,
First off hello to everyone as this is my first post.
I'm relatively new to the Cerbera scene and wondered if anyone would be kind enough to help answer the following questions please:
1) I store my car with the bonnet open and battery disconnected, after initially locking the doors with the alarm fob. What happens if the car's battery goes flat if I forget to perform the afore mentioned procedure?
I've read on the forum that there's a set routine for opening the car in such a situation and the likes of the AA know how, but could someone please shed some light on how this is performed please? I realise that it's best not to publicise such a procedure on a forum but a private message would be very much appreciated.
2) What's the best sports exhaust for the Cerbera Speed Six in peoples opinion? (Way too quiet standard)
3) Does anybody have some offset ET 42 18" Spider alloys with tyres they'd like to sell me?
4) Where would people recommend for servicing and bodywork (Headlamp conversion) activities in close proximity to Nottingham please?
Thanks all.

Sorry chap, but I don't think anyone here is going to give you that information on the strength of one post! You should either ask the person that you bought it from, or take the car to a TVR specialist who will show you or possibly if you are local to someone on here, take the car to them to show you.ETA - You are being rather optimistic with the AA as well - the last AA man I saw couldn't work out how to open the door the normal way with the button, nevermind anything else.

Thanks for the welcome Gazzab.
I had thought about fitting decat pipes but I can't really be bothered to keep changing them over at MOT time.
Can the standard ECU cope with the decats? (ie I've not checked to see if the car has pre and post cat lambda sensors. Does it potentially bring up any ECU error codes?)
Cheers.

You wont need them for the MOT ;-) The ecu is fine without them. I had thought about fitting decat pipes but I can't really be bothered to keep changing them over at MOT time.

I'm going to suggest you go a slightly different route and suggest that you still store the car with the doors locked and the bonnet open but leave the battery connected and connect a trickle charger to it.
I've had my Cerb about 5 years and that's worked fine for me for all that time.

Jubes: I do exactly the same as Ireland there, never had any probs so far. But, I am new to Cerb ownership as well, only in my first month.Welcome.
I'm going down the decats route with my exhaust along with sports silenced tails & a "cherry bomb" centre section.Hopefully this way it will be louder than standard but neither too loud or raspy.Hopefully a deeper note for a speed 6

Put your car on a trickle charger.
If you do decide to do headlight conversion try Julian @ fibreon.
Ive got some spiders with tyres pm me if you are interested.
As for getting into your car. Get yourself to a TVR meeting im sure someone there will show you if you are in your car.
Full ACT system sounds good.

Ditto - bought mine around the same time as Ireland and had no issues.I've had my Cerb about 5 years and that's worked fine for me for all that time.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for all of the replies they're very much appreciated.
I do ideally want to use a trickle charger, however the garage that I store my Cerbera in doesn't unfortunately have any electricity.
Is it a good idea to join the TVRCC, I'm assuming that this is the best place to meet up with other owners in my area? (East Midlands)

You don't have to join the club to start with, it's not for everyone, but go to the monthly meeting at Langer, introduce yourself to Tony (YKB) and you'll be well away. Thanks for all of the replies they're very much appreciated.

Pursyluv - Just to let you know that I've sent you an email regarding your Spider alloys.
One more question on the Tuscan style headlamp conversion front please:
Which headlamp conversion is a direct copy of those fitted to the later model factory Cerberas? (I've seen 2 large lights only, 2 large 1 small and 2 large 2 small versions fitted to Cerberas)
Thanks again.
