Decided to change my from discs and pads last night after the rain stopped and the sun came out, really quick job in the end, started off getting the wheel off nice a quick, then loosen the caliper bolts, couldn't do that so phoned Jason at STR8SIX he will do it for me next week.

Ended up having a glass of wine instead, much more civilised way of going about things:-)

Some WD40 and a breaker bar should see them off in seconds, found mine needed a bit of force and the bolt loosened with a crack, sometime can be a bit scary. found that putting the Allen key socket on and tapping it in helps.

Wine you big girls blouse!!!!

Now Fubes thinks I'm manly, may I say good skills on the wine. I trust it was a fruity little number of a 95 vintage. Full bodied and with a depth of flavour.

Getthe Allen Key with a Persuasion Bar over the end of the key. Nice wee crack sound as they break out. A scaffy bar or the likes is good cut down for in the wheel arch you only need a few more inch's of leverage to break them out.

For the passenger side, lock the steering all the way to the right, which exposes the calliper past the wheel arch. Can then use as long a breaker bar as you need. Some WD40 always helps.

I took this pic from the classifieds and sincerely hope Raceproved don't mind:

Right then you 'orrible lot, having read you posts offering such kind help I went to a tools shop, and bought the proper tools to do the job, finished by 12:30 and just got back from a little test drive.

Wow is about all that I can say, I know the old discs were well and truely shot and the pads were well past their first flush of youth but god does it stop, those Pagid pads are simply amasing even though I have not stomped on them yet, a massive leap forward from Red Stuff.

On a serious note if any one is using the EBC Red Stuff pads on a Cerb that does track days I would like to suggest you have a look at the surface of the pads, mine were breaking up really badly and when I chucked one of the old ones across the drive and missed the bin most of the remaining fricton material fell off, they have had a hard life but they are supposed to be made for the track but they do not seem to cope with the temps that my brakes reach.

Seen a lot of EBC pads doing that lately, i had yellows on my v8 ZT, and never had any issue, but have seen lots of recent posts about the green stuff pads as well breaking up.
