I was walking across the yard this morning and I noticed a pool of water under the garage door where the Cerbera lives.
It turns out the rad has developed another leak.
I had it repaired last year and the site of that leak is fine but a new leak has developed.
I think this time a new rad will be the order of the day.
The plan was to leave the it off the road once the insurance runs out in about 2 months for the winter and get the few bits that need attention done for once and for all so it looks like that will be happening.
I've had the car now for over 5 years and I have to say that in that time it has cost me very little in the way of big repairs.
Now that is partly down to the fact that myself and a few others have done most of the little jobs that needed doing ourselves but overall it hasn't been the money pit that they have a reputation of being.
I reckon a few bob spent on it (and a few hours of my life) will soon have it back to is't former self.

Ireland it is the same here, I've had 2 years with a Tuscan and 2 with a Cerbera and they haven't cost me anything like some of the figures I see quoted on here for running costs. I think if you go chasing huge horsepower from a already very fast car the the figures can go through the roof. And as you me mentioned doing little jobs yourself with the support of the PH community helps to keep the cost down also.
Bud my car aint leaking but i have been toying with the idea of a new alloy rad for months,have not really looked into what is involved yet but planning to start work on her over the next few months.Put one on a rs focus in the week and its made it run muuuuuuucho cooler

First was Nitrons to replace worn shocks, plus poly bushes all around. The aircon condenser needed sorting so that lead to a refurb plus rad (well whilst it was out) plus pipes, stainless water manifold etc etc.
Last big one was replacing the cracked manifolds with ACT tuned stainless ones, then whilst that was all apart having the engine bay chassis repaineted, all the chassis waxoiled again, new disks/pads, 12k service etc etc
If it's all apart I might as well do associated/close parts whilst I'm at it.
Actual running costs have been minimal.

The big bills come if you do absolutely nothing on the car yourself.
Chances are that every month or so there will be some little thing that needs sorting (window not dropping / bonnet rattle / loose piece of trim / etc) and if you had to go to a garage every time then I could see how the bills could become massive over the ownership of the car.
They definitely are a value for money car when you compare the performance and the repair costs of a Cerbera to something like a Nissan GTR.
I appreciate they are completely different animals but so are the costs.

I had one made up for my Chim (same as Cerbs as far as i can tell) for £336 delivered to my door. Was very good in the Chim And when i need a new Rad for the Cerb i will be getting made again by Cropper and jones. All Info on this thread.

The one i just fitted on the rs was 260 so i will find out where he got it.It was a nice bit of kit in my opinion.Just looked under the bonnet seems a simple job,but it is a tvr so ready for a few other bits that may need some love on the way.Dare i ask about samco's or are they just eye candy
