Heater and Windscreen Washers not working

Following-on from my recent electrical saga:

1. Does anybody know if the heater system (hot air side) has any common faults. It has stopped working. Anything to look out for?

2. Ditto for the windscreen washers - not working either :-(

They both stoppe working at different times so hopefully not part of a bigger problem. Looking after my dad's car has become a full time job methinks.....

Any help / suggestions appreciated.

For heater i would first start by checking the plug on the heater ecu, located in the passenger footwell.

The plug nearest the heatsink panel is usually the one that gets burnt out terminals.

this is exactly what it was - heater ECU plug.

Washers....

When you press the wipe/wash button, are you getting a sweep of the wipers, but no water (Can't hear the washer motor operating) ?
