During a trip out last week my cerby developed a highly annoying fault. It won't stop indicating left and won't allow me to cancel or to indicate right, if I try to indicate right both left and right start flashing. Anyone got any easy fix ideas as I was hoping to enjoy the good weather in it today.

Check fuse 7 in the boot fuse box, if that is ok then have a rummage under steering wheel for any loose connections.

Also, check the stalk isn't loose as, from memory, it is only held on by one bolt at its pivot point.

Strange fault.

Just above your steering column under the dash you will see a small circuit board. You will have to take the lower cover off under the steering wheel to see it (two wingnuts, one either side).

It forms a square. with the centre being dedicated to cancelling the indicators. the flat closest to you has a ribbon cable from the buttons on the steering wheel. The flat furthest away has a ribbon cable leading down into the front footwell. On the passenger side of the square there are two white connectors. One is for the left indicator and one for the right. Check they are in good nick and making good contact. If they are next step will be with a meter and you will need details of the pinout (if of course that isn't copyright ) to check correct operation of the indicator stalk.
