Anyone with a laptop and software in or near Essex
Discussion
As per the title really. Could someone with the software hook it up to my Cerb and see if they can find out whats up with her please. 2 days of fun but frustrating ownership now and even though it's been fun I would like her running right. If you want to give me a call my number is 07584 428488
She won't idle properly, she keeps wanting to shut down or idle too high so having ready the other thread "Why is the engine hunting"I'm wondering if it could be the Lambda sensor thats failed, does anyone know what car they are from and a part number to fit the 4.5 please.

Check the last post on the :

You can download the software but I'm sure somebody will soon dash over with it pre loaded and the cable.

Lambdas are from a V8 Land Rover - these will be fine - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-Fr-Lambda-Sensor-LAN...
Hi Tony,
I have my laptop and this cable working for my ecu:
https://delta.securesslhost.net/~shenglt/catalog/p...
I have it setup for the three pin connector, which is the connector that's on a separate lead outside the ecu.
I'm more than happy to drive over now and plug it in to record some stats if you're still in trouble. I'm around 50 mins from Southend-on-sea.
I have to warn you though that I only got my Cerbera in May and the best I can do is get some readings for you to have someone else interpret.
Best wishes
Adrian

Car was plugged into a laptop last night and screen shots were taken thanks to Aide.
Hopefully someone will be able to make sense of these and point me in the right direction. EFR comes back as bad once the engine is warm which I assume is Air Fuel Ratio as she seems to be running rich as you can smell it. The car also seems to have a bit of a misfire when you accelerate or lift off.
Ignition on, engine off

Engine running, Cold

Engine running, Warm

Hi Tony
I recall the adaptive maps for both banks were up to +/- 50% at some parts of the rev range.
In the help on Using the maps section of the ecu s/w it says:
"If values are high (>+/-20 %) or erratic, suspect excessive purging, worn/erratic throttle pots, leaks in exhaust/intake manifolds, faulty lambda sensors or incorrect fuel pressure (see "real time help" for fault screen)."
If you look at the Fault Screen shot you posted it shows that there are faults logged on Throttle 1 & 2.
So, in the absence of any experience or skill! Perhaps you should clear the faults, go for a spin and check to see if the Throttle codes are tripped again. If they are then maybe the throttle potentiometers are banjaxed
It was nice to meet you yesterday, really lovely car and that child seat is a work of art!

You need to clear the fault log then run it for a while and see if the throttle pot faults come back or if they were just due to running while unplugged some time ago.
If you intend to fix this yourself, you will need to get a laptop and learn how to connect it up. It really is an essential tool for both diagnostics and setting up the engine correctly. Second hand off fleabay is fine - get one that has a physical serial port to avoid problems with USB/COM adaptors. Failing that best get on good terms with your nearest TVR specialist!

Oops Tony.. reading this again I don't think it articulated myself correctly I recall the adaptive maps for both banks were up to +/- 50% at some parts of the rev range.

please read
"So, in the absence of any experience or skill on my part! What I would do is clear the faults... etc etc "
instead of
"So, in the absence of any experience or skill! Perhaps you should clear the faults,"
My apologies
