No ignition

Hi all, having a right nightmare, this is the first time the cerb has let me down in my ownership (1 year) the car unlocks aand locks the immobolizer turns off as it should but press the black button and nothing, no lights at all no fuel prime, starter motor, absolutely dead. but everything else electric works.
I got it started by shorting out the ignition control unit and the starter motor so I don't think its the immob...
Anyone else had this problem? or have any ideas?

Have you been playing with the silver key. And can you start with the push slot?

Check the silver key, we were just playing with my Cerb about an hour ago and had knocked that so I almost posted asking this question also. We noticed where we had been messing around with the lighter socket we had knocked the key so with it back in its proper position the car came back to life.

Hi, no can't start it with the push slot and I checked the key is on. It is just like the silver key has beeen turned but it hasn't (got stuck with that before)

You've probably already checked and a bit of a long shot but the ignition fuse in the boot?

Sounds like an immobiliser issue. Try holding the start button down, really long, over a minute if needs be. Chances are it will fire up after a while, indicating a worn relay in the immobiliser. If so, give our man Carl Baker a call.

Try holding the black button and tapping on the immobiliser unit at the same time.

It might just make a dodgy contact and bring it to life and if it does it will pretty much confirm immobiliser trouble.

It's just about possible to manage it on your own but if anyone sees you they'll think you've been crucified inside your car.
