White spiders

Thinking about getting myself a set of spiders for the Cerb just for the bling look for the road as i think they are the best looking wheels on TVR's. But get them done in White as i have lots of white leather in my car now and the engine bay has white bits too.

I just find my Cerb a bit dull colour wise after having a Yellow Chim so need more bright lary colour in my life

I am unsure if it will look good but my Cerb is a bit different due to the bonnet any ways so it may pull it off.

Opinions welcome good and bad

hmm not that I should question colour choices in others!

I might go as far as colour match ..... but not white spiders. A la Tuscan racer wheel - yes.....but not spiders

They would be nice but i think hens teeth are more common

Mmmm....not for me on spiders.If its gotta be white then I think the wheel would need more spokes.Sp 12s, Oz super T,or Team Dynamics Monza R perhaps.

Buy hey,its your car,you do what you wanna do.If it turns out controversial,revel in it!

Think Photoshop is needed, RL7's would work in white, but I can imagine yours with white Spider Scotty, and you know, it just might work.

When i bought my old chim it had OZ supers in white. Never again the worst things in the world to clean

I gave up and had them re done in Anthracite


But spiders would be much better to clean. It would be white with a slight peril through it like my Air boxs

Would be looking at this white like the air box's

This is how it stands to date with the Azevs i got it with. They feel great and will now be track wheels

The Chim definitely looks better with the anthracite,& your engine bay is sweet.I like the idea of being different,& it may be worth going for it.Might well be a marmite thing & you'll have the purists up in arms shoot:

It's not permanent,so won't affect the sell on price...Ah cobblers,go for it.Who actually makes Spiders btw?

Think they will be a bugger to clean sir,have had white wheels on a few motors and they show every mark and all the dirtBut hey go for it,i think your wheels look nice that are on at the mo.

I may have a set coming my way already that need a re-furb. My mate works in a body shop and he is going to help me fix and prep them for painting so it will keep my costs

I have silver airboxs & Anthracite Spiders, as said before the white wheels would be a bugger to keep clean?

It may be a pain to keep clean but as i said it will only be road wheels and my car does not really ever get dirty it gets cleaned lots as i clean it every time i put it back in the garage even if is just a quick wipe down so i can live with it.

The black wheels on my Elise are much better at "hiding" the brake dust than the silver ones on the Cerbera so I'd say white ones will always look dirty.

Plus the first thing that came to mind when I started to read this thread about white wheels was a Jap-import Toyota Glanza (Starlet thingy) with a spotty teemage boy racer in it.

If you want to do it do it. It might look a bit Cerbera Essex, but why not. You'll get the purists or just not their taste on here saying no no - but at the end of the day its your car.

Per Deano - go for it, its your car. Dont ask permission on here as you will always get two perspectives.

Personally I wouldnt do it but I like the cars original. If you are planning on keeping the car then sod the resale value I say.

White sounds OK as a colour but if you're anything like as bad a driver as I am then they may look like a nightmare if white gets 'curbed' !

At least silver 'fits in' more with the bared alloy

TBH Mr cerbera its hard NOT to kerb the blasted spiders, been lucky so far but have come close.

I love the colour of scottys car,very classy & understated where as mine is more hooligan mode lol.

The white wheels may sort of class with that understated image, anyway try it you can always swop back if you decide to.
