Is this just silicon?

Hi all.

Found these in the engine bay earlier on - I presume its just excess silicon sealant from when it was serviced?



Also, one of the TVR centre caps has fallen out of the alloy; I've been looking around for some gold centre caps to replace them but can't seem to find any. Anyone know of where to source some? A couple of token photos too from this afternoon:

Yep, just silicon, probably from the cam covers if the valve clearances were done. The centres are available from Power I think - amongst others I'm sure.

That's fine guys, thanks. Just checking. I've seen some caps on Power but they look more like primer grey than gold like I've seen on a lot of spider wheels. They look better like that than with the TVR logo, especially since there's a spoke on each of my alloys with the TVR badge sprayed on.

When spiders were introduced back in '00 time they only came with gold caps. Then in '01 ish they started sticking a Tvr badge on. The spiders also came with a Tvr logo on a spoke.

I got TVR centre stickers on ebay in purple to match the car.

Maybe you had one bounceing around the clutch fluid top up cover. Bloody pesky things rabbits but they make good eating if you can catch one.

I have a set of Gold center caps somewhere, I swapped them for the TVR badge style caps which I preffer, you are welcome to them if you want. Send me your address and I'll pop them in the post.
