Oil warning light not working

Hi all,
This is my first post to this forum, but I've been a Cerbera owner for the last four years and never quiet got around to signing up..
I'm hoping that the experts out there may be able to offer some advise about my oil warning light that has just started to refuse to illuminate when the ignition is turned on.
I've checked the bulb and the wiring through the dash loom to the main loom connection and all appears good and have read previous posts through the search engine about the oil pressure sensor failing and the light remaining illuminated but nothing on the light refusing to illuminate.
Everything else seems to work just fine and of course the oil pressure is good on the gauge so i'm thinking its just an electrical gremlin but would like to resolve it as things like this really bug me.
The wiring diagrams appear to indicate that the light wires through the loom directly to the sensor but i'm struggling to get my head around how this works, are there any control units involved?

I would check the connection to the pressure switch, which is at the back of the V, and if no luck there then replace the switch itself. It's only about £6 and is an Intermotor part (check the part nos thread).

I had the same problem and it was the switch, but its a bit of a pain to get too, it's under the coil packs in the engine V

Thanks for the tips, if i meter pin 4 of the multiplug which i believe feeds the oil pressure switch should i get 12v?
Would you know which circuit the +12v is derived from?
