Is my Mate going soft?

Mate of mine had a Tamsin, TVR S, TVR V8S, then a 4.2 Cerbera. He got a BMW 320Ci for work and kept the Cerbera for weekends. He then changed the Cerbera for a BMW Z4 3.0 and now he tells me he's getting rid of both his cars and getting an M3 CSL (with some proper road tyres thrown in). I'm worried about him. Is he going soft in his old age? I know he was thinking about a Tuscan but put the kybosh on it as he needs something more practical for work. What do you think?

Oh dear he obviously likes the germanic interiors which look like a funeral parlour..

I drove an M3 and was not very impressed..they are also hugely over priced for what they are..

However you pays your money and takes your choice..

Also there are so many 3 Series around these days they are as Jeremy Clarkson said "the common car for the common man".
