ACT manifolds

Just canvassing opinion, have you ACT manifolds, are they still free of cracks after two/three/four years of use? My original manifolds have cracked again after being welded two years ago. Its a pig of a job to keep repeating, so I wondered if ACT manifolds save a lot of heart ache?

I've had mine on for about 18 months & bought them second hand (thanks Tim@ACT who sorted this!).

I'd rate them prefably, for sure. Proper engine bay bling and MUCH better than stock in terms of fit/finish. As the manifolds have seperate flanges at the top, it's much easier to get them flat against the head in particular - my old manifolds, after attempting a reweld, were about 5mm clear at the front head, despite being tight up against the other 3 outlets. Hence my throwing them in the back of my garage & going to ACT.

If it helps, I've got some older 4.2 manifolds that with a bit of bending with a torch would be good for use, but I'd just go ACT

thanks for the replies guys, ACT it is then. After installation, did you go for a remap?

I have them fitted, but it took a week of fettling to get them on. The bottom end of one kept touching the chassis.

I didn't have a remap, but the car had been mapped anyway. Slightly noisier than the originals (i.e. theres slightly more noise from the engine bay) but a good flowing system which adds a little more power.

Bling value, I can hardly see them on my 4.2.
