Hub re-build loctite or copper grease.....

After a bit of guidance please...

Hub finally in bits due to wheel bearing.. What a right royal pain! Had to get top ball joint off due to length of thread of ball joint blocking hub bolt. What was previously lots of bits of steel and alloy had morphed into one lump.

Snapped off two cap heads in upright and muscles ache this morn from fighting with the damned thing. Having blunted all my drills now resigned to a new upright.

Is general convention to use a tanker of loctite (clearly they had one on assembly) or copper grease to give a fighting chance of removal in future.

I've just change my front uprights so had to strip this whole area. All fixings were originally loctited, which actually (in my case) all came out ok. I fitted new screws and loctited them back together. Would never have considered using copper grease??

It's possible that using copper slip/grease on the threads could cause at reaction with the Aluminium upright(Galvanic corrosion)..just a thought.
