Water Temp gauge

Needing some swift advice! I'm off to Britcar24 next weekend and I wanted to go in the Cerb. Discovered yesterday my water temp gauge not moving much from around 50 and I feel pretty confident after bleeding and flushing the system that the gauge is bust. As I've read the gauge is not a quick fix so I'm after some advice on fitting an electronic one as a stop gap. Which and where to get one from and how and where do I connect it to. Basically anyone out there fitted on of these who can help.

Perhaps the sender rather than the gauge. Remove and check resistance in ice cold and boiling water, or just buy a new one, probably £20.

They are wax, so sender not applicable in this case. You can get them repaired.
Or just fit a pressure/temp digital one in as i have. Not in an AJP of course but you should be able to get the right fitting to screw in, try someone like SPA.

Thanks for the advice. Brummie, SPA? Have they a link. And when u say screw in, the sender for any digital one will screw into the water pipe where the current one is or replace it? Sorry dumb questions maybe but not having done this before!!

Hi Si Pen Ive treated the boys to Premier inn again (soft!) but yeah I was wondering where the parade lap pass was with my ticket pack. Greatest fun i had last year for a tenner! Can u Pm me with any details as well as the club parking. Will meet up hopefully if I can get this temp gauge problem sorted in time, otherwise I'll be in the family wagon.

The parade lap is £20 and you need to pre-book with the Britcar office on 01252 834377. My ticket arrived this morning and there are a list of rules that I've never had before, this is my third time - one rule is max 35mph on circuit!!!! If I'd known this I probably wouldn't have bothered. Anyway it's nice to get the car on the track even if it is slow. The parade lap in 2008 was like a mini trackday it was that quick, looks like those days are gone.

I haven't seen any club parking for this year, but normally it's behind Woodcote grandstand.

Si. Thanks for the number £20 still worth it. I did the parade lap last year and got up to 35mph but it felt like 120 down the finish straight!!!

Still hoping for some help with the temp gauge. Brummie?
