What does the silver key actually do?

Obviously the car has an alarm and immobiliser, so what is the need for the silver key? I know I shouldn't, but I've used it tonight and notice that you get no response from the car at all on pressing the black button. Electrics and things still work though, so does it really offer any added security from just the standard immobilser?

My best advice regarding the "Silver Key" is never ever touch it!

It seems to have caused some owners no end of problems.

I have a manual... I don't like the automatic version of the Cerbera it's to slow between gears. Power do an upgrade for it called 4.5ss. (Stick Shift). But if you have the auto version I would not change it to manual as the BW box is classic and it's what TVR is all about.

I think I'm taking the p!ss out of myself here
