Originally bought the car in July but chose to have it delivered to Central where it has been undergoing a refurb. It's taken rather longer than expected, but today's the day!beer
Pics will of course be posted later. Can't wait to see the result and most of all, to drive it for the first time - a glorious 2 hours in the sunshine (hope the aircon is working!) driving

Terrific drive home, pops and bangs aplenty, the acceleration is really something.

Three issues to report, all help gratefully recieved:
Shakes like a stting dog at 75-90;
Bonnet catches don't seem to work at all,
At idle the temp gauge went to 110. No sign of steam mind, but that's too high surely? Fans cut in at 100. On open road in ran at about 80.

Other than that it was smooth, tractable and surprisingly easy to drive. Great fun too, oh and the noisecloud9

Question is, could the gauge just be reading high? Given the absence of steam. Just had it idling outside for quite a while, hovered around 100 with the fans cutting in and out.

Did both fans cut in together? If so you may well have a temp sensor fault. The fans default to run when a fault is detected. Otherwise they come on 94 ish and 96 ish i think. Be safe, check it out and don't assume it's over reading.

Dont forget you are unlikely to see steam unless there is a leak because system pressure prevents boiling.

I will put a fiver on a bent alloy.

My ex Griff did the same when I bought it and I found that both front alloys were out of round.

Mine also come in at about 100 & the gauges are not that accurate & settles down to 80 when on a run, sounds normal to me.Congrats on your new car, they really put a smile on your face, have fun.

Think I'll check it out all the same. Bent alloys would be a bd, I'll get them checked n all. Bonnet catch issue solved - user error (blush)

Pics to follow, need to sort that out tomorrow and kids are begging for a ride too, so be mean not to pop out for a short spin first!

I know mine works, in 5 weeks of using my Cerb daily the radios been on about 3 times but even then was quiet enough the car pretty much drowned it out.

My Cerb was at Taylor TVR yesterday and while chatting to Dan Taylor the subject of temp gauges came up. The ones in the Cerb do often read higher then the actual temp, the only way to get an accurate reading is with the diagnostic cable and software.

Mine gets up to about 100 when stationary and is usually about 80 on a motorway, Dan said this is normanl.

My SP6 runs about 100 degrees when stationary no worries, but drops down quickly to 80-90 when on the move. My old 4.2 had an overheating problem at one stage and when it overheated it puffed steam out of the cap onto the base of the windscreen. As another poster said the wobbling prob down to a bent / buckled alloy, if you have spiders they are extremely delicate and easily damaged by pot holing (which i have just done at a cost of £380 new wheel & Avon frown ) I

Yes all seems fine as they can over read and if the fans pop on then all is well.

Point to note: even if you ever get a faulty temp sensor which should default to both fans on constant,.... It is not always the case.

Thanks for all the comments on temps, sounds like it may be OK, I'll keep an eye on it. Anyone used Leven's cooler-running kit?

@daveydee: I just had the interior done, the colour change will have to wait. Inside had various bits of faded red alcantara which were replaced with anthracite leather, and the grey carpets were changed for new black ones. Also fitted a racetech cam cover and a number of minor detailing things. And the virgin polish of course.
