I am intending to convert a cerbera from rhd to lhd. The dash and instruments are not a problem. What I want to know is is there enough space under the bonnet between the engine and chassis and what kind of steering box would I need?

You'd need a steering rack from a Tuscan or a Cerbera - don't know whether the T-car ones fit or not?

You say that the dash isn't a problem - are you sure?!

There were some made, so the hard mechanics should be possible.

I know the cars and the Dealer who had done a few perfect LHD TVR conversions and it's really a big big and bigger work to do that in this perfection...!!!
I think, you'll get in trouble, when you do this the first time on your own... like the guy who try to sell that unfinished LHD project of a Cerbera...

Wil, you should try MF Cars (TVR Belgium) in Deinze. They did it and also have a mould for the dashboard.

Former Swiss official TVR importer made all the conversions from RHD to LHD. AFAIK none LHD were originally produced. I found 6 LHD Cerberas in the Register of my blog. Don't know how many were "semi-official".

I think such a conversion would be extremely expensive. I don't think the car, even if were very rare, could have a bigger value in the future.

I looked at this years ago when I was leaving the UK and wanted to take the car with me. The guys in Europe were crazy expensive and it was too much of a big job for us to do and trust me we did a lot of crazy things with my car.

It would be cheaper to be patient and keep your eye out for one of the left hand drives coming up for sale. They do fetch a 30% ish premium over a RHD but at least all the hard work is done and all you do is service it and drive it.

Today i have seen the Blue LHD Cerbera, to be honest, it did not look that nice... the dashboard at the passenger side is, i think too low. And the cockpit looks strange and i think too low as well... of course very nice that it is a LHD but it is just not a the mirror of the "RHD".

the one i have seen has beige leather and the top of the dash is black (or very dark blue). they told me who did the conversion but i prefer not to put that here.

the gap between the dark top of the dash and the beige rest of the dash was too big. the beige part was too low. but hey, still a LHD...

well, looks like the steering wheel is on the left side, but that seems to be it... so more a Left Hand Not Drive.

You probably saw a blue lhd at MF cars in Belgium. I saw one overthere. I took a close look at the steeringrack and how it looked at the mechanical side. It can be done if you have the lhd rack. I won't do it though.....

...one of the many reasons that Cerb ownership on the continent costs so much rofl
