Recaro Start Child Seat - Any advice?

Hi, I'm looking for a Cerbera and want to be able to put my 17 month old son in the back. He's quite tall for his size and weights 12kgs.

I hear the recaro start is the only seat that fits properly in the cerbera. Is it worth getting the start or the start 2? In our Volvo he has a Maxicosi thing with a four point harness which looks very different to the start.

Does anyone maybe have one for sale that they might want to sell?

Just bought a couple of the early Recaro starts from Ebay for our 9 month old son. The Recaro Start 2 is much bulkier. The early ones cost me about £22 each so not too bag.

Actually, now that I've got them, even the early recaro is a snug fit. Has anyone removed any of the rear seat padding (back or base) to get more room for the child seat to fit? I'm 6'2", my wife is 6'0" so space is at a premium!

That is the original tvr car seat by the looks of things which i had fitted as a no no cost option in my 1st cerb; it is a 3 stage seat with bolster and suitable from about 6/9 months upwards and as the child grows you can remove the bolster, then the seat back until the seat is just a booster. The one pictured has the chrome support bar which attaches to the floor / tunnel and is essential to ensure that the seat is properly supported as per factory as the front of the child seat rests on it. Aftermarket seats will not have the support bar / bracket.
