Fuel starvation? I

Out for a little jaunt on Sunday travelled approx seven miles and she cut out. No warning no symptoms just coasted to a halt, tried the ignition plenty of life in the battery all electrics working. Opened the boot released the petrol cap with the sound of a great woosh of air, put the cap back on but only just past bayonet part loose but not able to come off. Ignition on and back to life again. Thinking it’s a fuel issue, this evening with fuel cap in same position(loose) made it to petrol station approx three miles away and filled up with Vpower almost back home and cut out again, left it stand for a couple of minutes and away again.
Any ideas?

Blocked carbon canister and/or stuck rollover valve on the fuel tank vent seem to be the usual culprits. I changed rollover valve on mine and replaced the solenoid on the carbon canister and the problem went away.

Carbon canister or vapour canister GM part number 17093147
Am I right in thinking that the solenoid on top of canister can be changed.
Does any one know solenoid part number and availability?

Rollover valve on order.

Is this the same part, I am not sure if the top part is a solenoid it has purge
