Clattering rear brakes!

Since a 12k service i have noticed my rear brakes clatter quite a bit of the time, hard braking stops it for a little time then starts again! I was told to let them bed in, but i have done a good 200 miles and no change. Could this be due to th skimming of the discs? Thanks for any input.

Known issue, silicone sealant the pads to the caliper pistons. The return springs are not man enough for the job.

Who did the brakes? Obviously not a Cerb specialist.

Anti-rattle springs/shims left out?

I cant see a sensible skim causing rattle like that, anyway the pistons will push out to compensate.

Racing Green did the service, and i was told to let them bed in! Think i'll take it back for them to sort. After the price of the service!

My cerb had same problem, was serviced by well known specialist prior to buying, had new brake pads, mimtex i believe which clattered badly after about 10 miles. Had them looked at twice now and finally fitted the anti squeal shims from clever trevor (racing green spares) and so far so good after 40 miles. They are £12 and are just squares of tape that stick to the back of the pads.

TADTS, as said smear of sealant on the back or fit those thin rubber/silicon pads between the two, mine are rattling at the mo but I can barely hear over the exhaust .

I'd reckon it's that the little springs have broken.
