Recently my Cerbera battery light was illuminated, and consequently the battery went flat. I replaced the battery for new and the same thing has happened again. I can only presume it's the alternator? How easy is it to replace the alternator on a Cerbera?

Could just be the 100A fuse. I think the battery will not charge if it has failed. Might be worth doing a search, pretty sure some information has been posed on replacement.

Sounds like the 'BIG FUSE' Its a 100amp fuse sits just infront of the starter motor. Has your rev counter been playing up to?

Do a search for 'BIG FUSE'

Most people get them replaced at every service, only cost pence

Yes, my rev counter has been playing up. Can I replace the fuse myself?

Very likely it is the charging fuse, easy to change once you got yourself a spare. It's a 100Amp flat metal blade with fixing slots at each end.

Disconnect the washer hoses from the wiper arms. Take off the cover in front of the windscreen (two allen screws) and lift off. Open the drivers door or boot then disconnect the battery live terminal. The fuse is in a plastic cover on the top of the gearbox bell housing. Just loosen the two screws and remove. Refitting is a reversal of the above. The central locking will activate once the battery is reconnected hence the need to leave a door open. Surprising how many people (me included) manage to lock their keys inside the car!

It is right behind the engine. as per above take the panel off and then you can reach down behind to change it. I wouldnt start the work without a replacement fuse to hand.
Also be careful not to cause a short ! Big ampage down there and lots of engine metal ! I would tape up the ratchet, extension bar and socket to avoid shorting.
