The external door button on the drivers side has given up the ghost. I assume it's a connection somewhere, is it within the door itself and which connector do I need to clean up?

You're correct, there are some connectors behind the door pannel. It could also be the switch itself, but cleaning up the connectors seems to do the trick!

Usually you will find quite a few connectors in the door. I lost power to the speaker due to a bad connector and then I could not get the window down, door open etc all due to the connectors.

Not sure which one is for the door switch, but I would suggest giving them all some attension

I'm assuming it's not one of the connectors that go to the door panel, but one that is inside the door itself?

From the door to the inside panel I have a 4 socket white connector, which contains the speaker wire and inner door button. A 2 socket connector which contains the door mirror wires I assume, and a single orange wire connector, of which I have no idea.

The connectors I need to play with would not be one of them and would be inside the door itself?

Plus when you have done it have a look for the plastic button covers that later Cerbera's and Chimaera seem to have. I remember enquiring once about them. Mine tended to dry itself out and work again each time so didn't end up persuing it at the time
