Heated Windscreen

This mornings discovery - while cleaning the Windscreen I noticed it was heated, well I assume it is, the tiny wires running through the screen look identical to those in my Discoverys heated screen. Of course no reference in the manual on how to actually turn it on - heated rear window switch?

Wow you are lucky - it's not standard. I guess an easy way to test it would be to steam up the screen from the inside, maybe a young lady friend could help, and switch it on. It's either gonna work - or it isn't!

If you need a heated windscreen surely that's just going to create a false sense of security. I'd rather not be able to see anything, to ensure I get in the car with heated seats instead.

I use it to clear fish and chip steam. The landrover has heated seats and steering wheel

I put heaters in the Cerb seats when I recovered them. Great for those icy mornings

Good move. My daily snotter Honda has heated seated seats and they're great. Never needed heated screen though, the filaments would bug me, but then I have very keen vision

I had a heated screen put in the Cerb when I picked up a big stone chip and I wouldn't ever go back to a non heated one. My screen used to fog up horribly on the drivers side - the hot air box is on the passenger side - so I was always struggling to see out in winter.

Were heated seats ever an option in a Cerb, I remember them being so in a Griff and Chim. The ones in my Discovery are superb
