cerb oil temp sender unit

help.....I have a fully rebuilt 4.2 litre '96 cerb with a faulty oil temp gauge. (added at some time where the centre vent used to be... I assume they were not standard....) wiring seems correct..I have removed the sender unit which i suspect to be the culprit. Any ideas on who makes these or what the resistance numbers need to be so i can test?...any help would greatly be appreciated here on the other side of the pond...

It is an after market fitting so it could be absolutely anything. Your best bet is to remove the gauge and either bin it & put the vent back, or see if there is any manufacturers marking on the back of it and try contacting them.

thanks tanguero...I believe these were a mass buy to the tune of several hundred...fitment varied...
..mine is exactly as these but the sender was tapped into the oil reservoir as opposed into the oil line.

I remember the group buy, though I wasn't involved in it. In that case you best bet either has to be the previous owner, presumably a PHer? Or someone who was involved may see this and be able to help.
