I realise that our posts can sometimes be full of doom and gloom but it just came to me, as I was doin’ the weekend shoppin’ in Black Beauty, that I’ve owned her longer than I’ve owned any other car in my life.

She’s been so reliable and I’ve been to such different places in her (and have been proud to be there) that it cannot be a better advert for any doubters that are left out there in motoring land.

I was thinking along similar lines the other day.
We generally only post when somethings amiss.
But when you think how many Cerb owners are on here, you dont hear from many of them much at all really1

Had mine five years now and you're right, I've never owned a car for so long with such little trouble. Everything still works and spares seem plentiful. Not to mention the dam good fun!

Advice is... buy one you'll love every minute!

I have had mine 6 years now,just spent an arm & a leg having the suspension,steering and brakes rebuilt but i wouldn`t swop the car for anything.the smile it puts on my face and the adrenalin rush it gives is second to none,to anyone thinking about buying a Cerb.........do it....you only live once!!!!

Same as OP - will have had mine four years in March and hope to have it for much longer. Nothing's held my attention that long before.

I bought mine with the sole intention of following England at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, principally because I was worried about the reliability. Five years later, I still have it and it's the longest I've ever owned a vehicle.

Hopefully, I'll be using it to follow England through Poland and Ukraine next year.

Roads in Ukraine not quite up to German standard's I would get a wildcat for that trip.

Wouldn't recomend driving anything in the Ukraine with british plates on, the police there are the most corrupt I have come accross. They will stop you for absolutly nothing and then demand a donation to their entertainment fund.

One trip accross the Ukraine, stopped 4 times, cost $75. Worst was my mate failed a breatherliser, he hadn't had a drink for 2 days, and that cost $40.

Had Mine 12 years and 2 months now only thought I have have her for a couple of years and have tried to sell her even had a guy with cash once but I pulled out at the last moment and thought so kept her, yes had a few problems just like any other car and when I win te lottery she is going in for a complete body off refurb

Got stopped for speeding in Kuala Lumpur last week. £ 60 fine or £ 10 'donation'. No brainier really and pretty good value, when I was 40k over the limit.
