Frustration to the max!

Spent ages today fitting a new throttle cable on my 4.2 which was utter hell, then found out it is too short by 5-10mm!!! Has anybody had this? Was thinking of just elongating the holes in the bracket to get the extra length rather than do it all again! Why "these" companies don't take a little more care!!!!

If you got the replacement cable from one of the usual TVR parts sources then its far more likely that you haven't got it fitted quite right yet. It can be a bear to get the pedal end seated properly.

If its like the4.5 then make sure the adjuster at the engine end is fully wound in, not the throttle stop the bit the cable end seats into.

Cheers guys just finished it! Stupid me i thought the ferrel was meant to just sit in the top of sprung loaded throttle part(as previously was like this!) Then i noticed it was meant to sit inside the groove, then hits the stop! There was one strand left holding it from snapping. There i was ranting and raving ha ha. Fingers crossed it will be dry tomorrow
