Clutch Fluid Reservoir Checking - Where?

Hi,

600 miles into Cerb ownership, and all is very well, apart from the little things - which I'll probably get onto in future mails...

I'm beginning to learn that the old saying 'a stitch in time...' is very appropriate with these cars - so, I'm checking all my levels regularly (not the daily oil check that the manual says, but almost). Anyway, the manual points to the clutch reservoir being near the brake fluid, and as far as I can see is behind a panel which looks to be bathroom sealanted in - I'm presuming I cut this out and check then re-seal? Am I being dumb? I've not checked this yet and starting to get nervous...

You're exactly right. Make sure its sealed up really well once you've finished, else you might get water leaking.

There are also 2 screws, 1 top, 1 bottom that need to be removed. mine were covered by the sealant so I couldn't see them.

Got it off fine, and level was happily right up to the brim so all good. Presumably the water runs down off the windscreen area and into the gap around the 'cricket box' housing, and then into the footwell. I might put a small wall of silicone around the area too.
