Outrigger tube size?

Does anyone happen to know what gauge/size CDS tube is used for the outriggers?

1" 1/2 od 1.6 mm wall thickness

would it be a good idea to go up to 2-3mm wall thickness give it more meat

I understand where you are coming from regarding the thickness, but I am already planning to add propper seat supports and don't want to add any more weight than I have to.

They are normally welded tube so if you are using CDS it will be stronger anyway.
