is a blown up 4.2 worth anything

as it says i have a old 4.2 engine taking up room in my barn with the inlets on it (rod out of block)how much should i put it up for? thanks darren

Hi Darren, If you have the time break it and sell as spares as heads, inlets, pump assembly etc etc will raise more money than selling whole.

Cams, Heads, air boxes (albeit in 7's) - liners, pistons, rods, valve sets, shims and ancillaries such as oil/water pumps, alternator, air con pump etc must be worth a few quids, certainly more than selling it as a one'r imho.

Got £500 for mine with a broken crank, but the block was still intact.

The throttle bodies made a couple of hundred quid on ebay.
