Problems - but I love her!!!
Discussion
Had the cerbie for 11 days and the starter motor is going on me. Every 3rd or 4th start she whines and grinds her teeth at me. I've been told that it could be the flywheel or the starter motor.
Here is a list of my problems so far in 11 days.
Fan not switching off - remedy- rag out the wires!
Windows doing crazy things - normal I'm told.
Door switch gone - Alarm going crazy.
Indicators failed - loose wire near alarm box.
Bonnet catch snapped - new one on its way.
Loud clicking under car when turning left or right - yet to find it.
I have done 1000 miles already and have loved every minute. Because I have read up a lot on cerbie's before I bought this car I knew what to expect so it hasn't really bothered me. I'm booking her in for a 12000 mile service next week and will get all the above done under warranty so hopefully she will be sorted soon.
All in all I wouldn't swop her for anything else on Britain's roads. Long live the mistress!!

Great post Pilmar!
The good definitely outweighs the bad
.
I have had my Cerb just over a month and have already had a new Clutch master cylinder
.
The noise whilst turning could well be the diff and nothing to worry about. Is it when going slowly only?
The way I see it, if it isn't an engine/gearbox failure then it's not so bad.
These cars are simply amazing and nothing like ordinary cars!

Joined the usual "first of the month " que in the local post office today, buying another years rent on the cerb.
The normaly busineslike postmaster saw the make, and instantly struck up an enthusiastic discussion about the other local TVR`s.
One of the more unexpected high points of ownership !

The car was inspected and tested before I laid out that much money. Believe me! I have covered over 1000 miles and during that ALL of the above problems have occurred. The starter motor was probably caused by my neighbour pressing the wrong bloody button, tosser, when the engine was running so I hold my hands up to that self inflicted problem. I'm just glad I took out the 5 star warranty who have approoved the repairs and she is going in next week.
